Event medical cover
Cover planned around your event, not a standard formula
JTL Medical provides event first aid and on-site initial response. What we propose for your event is based on an event-specific review rather than a fixed staffing ratio.
What the review considers
Before proposing any provision, we work through the following with you. Where information is missing, we will tell you what we still need.
- Maximum simultaneous attendance
- Total daily footfall
- Audience profile and age groups
- Alcohol and expected behaviour
- Event activities and hazards
- Inflatables, rides, sport, stages, vehicles or animals
- Venue size and site layout
- Indoor or outdoor setting
- Terrain, lighting and weather exposure
- Distance and access to NHS emergency services
- Emergency vehicle access
- Previous incidents and patient presentations
- Build, opening, egress and breakdown times
- Licensing, venue, insurer and Safety Advisory Group requirements
- Existing medical resources and facilities
Attendance and footfall are two different figures
Maximum simultaneous attendance is the largest number of people expected to be on site at any single moment — for example, the crowd present during a main arena display.
Total daily footfall is the number of people who pass through the event across the whole day, including those who arrive and leave at different times.
A market with 900 people on site at once can easily see 6,000 visitors over a day. Both figures matter, and they are used differently. Neither figure alone produces a staffing number: JTL Medical does not generate an automatic staffing calculation from attendance.
